Misri has met with Top Nepali Leaders

Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, who is visiting Nepal, has met with Nepali Congress Chairman and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The secretariat of Speaker Deuba said that in the meeting held today at Budhanilkantha, the residence of Speaker Deuba, various matters of bilateral mutual interest were discussed.

In the meeting, there was a discussion on advancing and further strengthening Nepal-India relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Indian Secretary arrived in Kathmandu today for a two-day official visit to Nepal at the friendly invitation of Seva Lamsal, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This visit is said to be a continuation of the regular exchange of visits between the two neighboring countries.

It is said that Secretary Misri’s visit continues the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between the two countries and also reflects the priority given by India to relations with Nepal under the Neighbor First Policy.

The foreign secretary is scheduled to return home on Shrawan 28 after completing his visit.
At the same time, Indian Foreign Secretary Misri also held a courtesy meeting with the President Ram Chandra Paudel, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and other top leaders.
